What a year for Tim, first an Olympic bronze medal and now a World silver medal! Everyone is so excited and happy for Tim. Tim trained at the Winterhurst FSC for 10 years and although he now resides in California for his training he still represents his longtime club Winterhurst. |

| Jan 18 2002 | Although no longer training at the Winterhurst FSC, Timothy Goebel still represents his local club of many years. The Greater Cleveland Council of FSC is very proud of Tim and would like to extend their congratulations. It is quite an accomplishment to be able to represent the United States at the Olympics which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 9-22 2002. Tim was second in Championship Men at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships held in Los Angeles, California during the week of January 6-13th. Also competing at the U.S. Championships were Parker Pennington of the Winterhurst FSC who placed 13th in Championship Men and Marcy Hinzmann of the Winterhurst FSC and her partner Ronnie Biancosino of the University of Delaware who placed 12th in Championship Pairs. |
