what does the gcc do?
The Greater Cleveland Council of Figure Skating Clubs (GCC) consists of fifteen area figure skating clubs who belong to US Figure Skating. Delegates from each club meet several times a year to discuss topics such as test sessions, competitions, grants, clinics, club announcements, and US Figure Skating. The GCC supports its clubs and skaters with grants and scholarships, and organizes competition bids. In addition, the council provides information about Cleveland area events and opportunities. The Greater Cleveland Council's purpose is to help support its member clubs and promote figure skating throughout all of Northeast Ohio.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to help grow the advancement of skaters, foster figure skating, and encourage inter-club cooperation. We also strive to assist and/or work with other entities to encourage growth of all disciplines of figure skating in Greater Cleveland and/or the United States, and foster programs that benefits figure skating.
